Video Added

Video element added. Ironically, this was the easiest element to add and embed in the Powwow story. While the video is not all that I had hoped it would be I have learned ways to improve for my next video effort. Overall, I enjoyed the video element. I look forward to telling more stories across converged medium.

Media Gods???

Today I believe in media gods.  No not Viacom, Comcast or even Rupert Murdoch, powers far greater.  The gods, who when feeling generous, bestow on an mere mortal the perfect shot, a sound bite, or sometimes if your really lucky both.  But unfortunately, those gods were not with me today when I went to shoot some background footage at the mission.  I managed to get some footage, before I ran out of space on my memory card.  As if that was not enough when I was packing up to go the church bells rang out, all very poetic and would have been great if I would have caught it on tape.  Aghhh!!! Today the media gods did not smile on me…

Video notes

Reviewing video I took of the Powwow I noticed that I shoot most of the footage at an odd angle.  I see two possible fixes turn the computer screen so that I don’t get a stiff neck or edit the clips in final cut.   Aghhh, there is always some small hurdle….

Podcast Added

Podcast added after some difficulty.  Podcast is link is embedded in the story as well as in a sub page under Story I.

Audio files issues

Had some file issues – Voice recorder saves files as .wma files but needed files to be .mp3.  Found convertor and success!

Feedback…

Last night I got some good feedback from my classmates regarding my site and story.  Some changes have been made other are in progress.

I am inspired and excited about the improvements!

Pow-wow – Day 2

Arrived at the site early, found a good seat. Weather was much better today, sunny! Was able to get several good photos. I shot some video that needs to be reviewed, not sure about the quality yet. Did get a snippet of audio but the quality is questionable as well. Hopeful there is something salvageable. Consider this day a success.
